Unlearning unconscious habits is a gentle and natural way to relieve stress and pain.

With the guidance of a skilled teacher, Contemporary Alexander Technique can help you find a new way of moving through the world. All of us carry accumulated tension in our bodies. Carrying this stress can lead to pain, injury, low energy, and low spirits.

What will happen in a session?

During your appointment with Anita, she will observe you without judgment and note how you do whatever you do. She will see what you’re doing well and she will help you notice how you may be interfering with yourself. She often will use her hands gently and respectfully to help you let go of anything that is consciously or unconsciously getting in your way.  In each session, you will acquire tools that will allow you to let go of limiting patterns and discover easier choices that will lead to ease of movement and thought.

Many students feel relaxed and uplifted after a session. Gradually, through awareness and practice, you will learn to move beyond old habits and into a new way of being in the world.
