Upcoming Workshops:
November 10th - Thinking Body, Moving Mind | November 11 - The High Art of Touch
In our modern world we get to sit a lot: at work in front of the computer or in team meetings, in the car, at the airport, in waiting-rooms, at home at the dining table. Sometimes we feel comfortable, sometimes our bodies start aching. We tend to blame the chairs for our pain.
But what if we had it within our power to change the way we sit on any seat?
The Alexander Technique teaches us the underlying principles of natural coordination. Once we know more about our inherent design we can do any activity with more ease and joy. With the Alexander Technique we can learn how to sit well in virtually any situation that presents itself to us, without the need to rely on the surface we sit on.
In this workshop you will learn about how some parts of your body move. You will learn tools to prevent stress, fatigue and pain applicable to any situation where you find yourself sitting.
This workshop is open to anybody who spends a lot of time sitting and would be interested in getting to know what the Alexander Technique can do for you.
